Let’s Unfold My Story

Shanu Jaiswal

I’m Shanu Jaiswal, a multidisciplinary artist drawn to the quiet dialogue between emotion, intuition, and space. My practice moves across abstract painting, portraiture, murals, and furniture, bringing together my artistic instinct and my background in interior design.

Born and raised in India, I was always fascinated by the way a space could come alive through the right balance of colour, texture, and light. My journey into art, however, was an unexpected one.

After building a successful career in interior design across India and the UAE, I realised that while I loved shaping spaces, I was longing for a more personal creative voice.

That voice emerged six years ago when I painted a canvas for my own home in the UAE.

Created purely from instinct and love for art, the piece sold within hours of being shared on Instagram.

What seemed like a simple, spontaneous act quietly changed the course of my life.

I recognised it as more than a happy coincidence, it was the moment I discovered my true calling.

A Journey Beyond the Canvas

Today, abstract art is my chosen form of expression. My work is guided by the belief that art should not simply occupy a space; it should add something to it – a feeling, a story, a sense of connection.

Through colour, texture, movement, and form, I seek to create pieces that resonate individually with each viewer while becoming a natural part of the environments they inhabit. From canvas, my creative practice gradually expanded.

I began restoring furniture, transforming overlooked pieces into functional artworks.

I explored wall murals, allowing my work to move beyond individual canvases and become part of the architecture itself. Walls became larger surfaces for storytelling, where scale, environment, and emotion could all come together.

What began with a single canvas has grown into a continually evolving practice while remaining rooted in the same belief:

Art has the power to transform how we see, feel, and experience the spaces around us.
